In the depths of London’s famous Hyde Park lays a magnificent oval fountain south of the Serpentine Lake. This fountain is a memorial to a woman who spent her life helping those who could not help themselves. She spent countless hours in her lifetime visiting needy children around the world to give them relief. This woman was Princess Diana of Wales. Tragically this great woman’s life was cut short by a fatal crash. The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial fountain stands today in memoriam of the exceptional life she led. It is also in place to help remind us of the amazing work she accomplished and to inspire us to work just as hard to serve our fellow men.Famous American landscape artist Kathryn Gustafson designed the memorial fountain. The fountain is 545 pieces of Cornish granite. The fountain is an oval shape with a steam bed that is about 50 by 80 meters long and about 3 to 6 meters wide. The flow of the water is slow and not very deep.
