Culture Vulture (15-10-2009) Writer Trang Ha’s literature website vanhocmang.net has been online for just two months, but has already gained a popular following. Culture Vulture talked to her about the new website. What are the results of the first couple of months of vanhocmang.net’s operation? Who has contributed and what sort of feedback have you had from readers? The website was officially launched in mid-July, and it has so far attracted over 20 authors who have specifically written for it. Ten writers already have been published online, or have had their works printed in Viet Nam and abroad. The others are mainly students who have just started writing, and they are still improving their skills. Currently we host some 400 pieces of including complete stories, extracts, or chapters. When we first opened, we didn’t record visitor numbers, but our hit web statistics reveal that we’ve had nearly 400 entries posted, over 2,000 comments, and some 150,000 page views. How have you gone about promoting the website? After the launch ceremony at the FPT University on July 11, a talk by author Dang Thieu Quang was held at the offices of the Viet Nam Writers’ Association, which also caught the attention…
