THIEVES broke into Ipswich Town’s stadium to stage a FOOD FIGHT with frozen cheesecakes.
Portman Road has twice been broken into over the past few days as the robbers stole a number of giant televisions.
According to the BBC, the first raid happened overnight on Saturday and the intruders partied on wine and food.
And after the second happened in the early hours of Wednesday the Championship side confirmed they are increasing the stadium’s security.
The thieves are alleged to have got into the hospitality box – one of which was next to the chairman’s Marcus Evans’ personal one – as they tucked into food and helped themselves to “expensive vintage” wine.
After their fun, they then took a lift down to the kitchens below the stand to raid to the fridges, and that is believed to be where the food fight occurred.
The plasma TVs were nicked from the public areas around the ground on their second visit.
Suffolk Police were called to the ground 7.50am on Sunday and at 6.00am on Wednesday.
It is understood that the same gang of at least four were responsible on both occasions.
Police confirmed that they have yet to make any arrests and inquiries are still ongoing.
A spokesman for the Ipswich said: “We can confirm there have been two incidents over the last week of intrusion at the stadium.
“The police are aware and are investigating.
“We have increased our security as a matter of course.”
