Penn State football lettermen call ‘Paterno’ movie an ‘uninformed depiction’ of the late coach

Nearly 300 former Penn State football players signed a letter criticizing the HBO movie ‘Paterno,’ calling it an “uninformed depiction” of late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno.Lettermen Brian Masella and Christian Marrone released a statement Monday on behalf of the group, saying that the movie, which stars Al Pacino as Paterno, “fails in every manner about the man we knew and loved.”Among the players who signed the statement are Franco Harris, Ki-Jana Carter, Bruce Clark, Tim Shaw, Rashard Casey and Mike Guman.
