Ben Shephard looks unrecognisable in unseen snap as he reveals secret Friends past

Kate Garraway was stunned to learn that Ben Shephard had once appeared on Friends. The Good Morning Britain star, 46, beamed as he proudly explained his role as the resurfaced clip was shown. In the snippet, Ben looked unrecognisable as he wafted his GMB microphone on a ‘fake’ red carpet in a bid to capture an interview with David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing). The blast-from-the-past segment from 2002 showcased a fresh-faced Ben with short spiked hair. Ben told co-host Kate, Richard Arnold and Charlotte Hawkins that his starring role happened by chance. He’d appeared on the set to conduct an interview with the Marta Kauffman who was the co-creator of the NBC sitcom. During the discussion, Marta asked Ben: “Do you want to be an extra on the show?” Looking like a rabbit caught in the head lights, the Tipping Point star turned over his shoulder to get the ‘all clear’ from his own team.
