In the aftermath of Oprah Winfrey’s enlightening interview with the artists formerly known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Lifetime has green-lit Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, promising to “reveal what ultimately led to the couple’s break from the royal family,” per a release. This is the third film in Lifetime’s chronicle of their love story. It follows 2018’s Harry & Meghan and 2019’s Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal , which each had different actors playing the couple: Parisa Fitz-Henley as Meghan and Murray Fraser as Harry in 2018, then Meghan Markle doppelgänger Tiffany Smith and Charlie Field in 2019. Casting is currently underway on the third film and production is set for spring, with an eye toward a fall release. Photo: Rick Diamond/Getty Images Country-music legend George Jones, best known for his 1980 hit “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” died today in Nashville, Tennessee, where he’d been hospitalized for the last week, the AP reports. He was 81. Jones, nicknamed the Possum, had his first No. 1 hit in 1959, and he went on to record more than 150 albums over the course of his career, notching thirteen additional No. 1 songs, including “The Grand Tour” and “She Thinks I Still Care.” He was married to Tammy Wynette from 1969 to 1973, but the two continued to perform together and released an album of duets in 1995. Jones was perhaps equally famous for his silky baritone voice — Frank Sinatra once called him “the second best singer in America” — as for his drug-and-alcohol-induced offstage behavior, including a televised police chase through Nashville in 1980. Hollywood star and activist Angelina, 43, and Sophie, 53, attended the 'Fighting Stigma Through Film' festival at the British Film Institute on London's South Bank. Angelina dazzled in a white, belted dress, while Sophie beat the November chill with a stylish navy coat. Angelina later put on a similar navy coat, twinning with the Countess! See what the royal couple gave to their guests Even if you didn’t land an invite to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank ’s royal wedding, you can still get a souvenir from their big day thanks to some of the lucky attendees who were there to see the couple tie the knot at St George’s Chapel. A number of guests have listed goodie bags given to them by the newlyweds on eBay, and they’re already selling for as much as £1,000. The bags were given to the 1,200 members of the public who were selected by ballot to watch proceedings within the grounds of Windsor Castle, and to members of the 800-strong congregation.
